## Job Description

**...JOB DUTIES INCLUDE...**

***ENGAGE PAW’S COLLABORATIVE PROCESS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT OPERATIONAL GUIDELINES...***

- Attend individual Collaborative Meetings with members of the Collaborative Team.
- Track progress through Core Training, and track issues and accomplishments as they arise
- Provide feedback on guidelines, processes and policies with intent to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Attend departmental or All-Staff meetings

***PERFORM PROCESS RELATED DUTIES...**.*

- Direct and concise communications with caregivers
- Recognize and respond accordingly to emotionally charged interactions with caregivers and/or staff
- Utilize practice management software for the creation of estimates, invoices, prescriptions, and certificates

***SERVICE-MINDED ACTIONS...***

- Safe handling, movement, restraint and relocation of patients
- Maintenance of all biosecurity, cleanliness, and isolation protocols
- Proficient sample acquisition, phlebotomy, laboratory &amp; surgical practices
- Read, interpret and assist with the implementation of written medical treatments

***PRACTICE PATIENT RELATED DUTIES...***

- Triage and assist incoming patient based on urgency of care and available resources
- Assist and perform in the vaccination of animals
- Assist in surgical procedures and/or dental prophylaxis
- Monitor and recover all assigned sedation and anesthetic events
- Assist and perform first aid and euthanasia

## Qualifications

****This is an overnight position with working hours starting at 10 pm and ending at 8 am*****

- **…WE ARE LOOKING FOR…**
- Certified Veterinary Technician, 1+ year experience preferred but not required
- Part-Time or Full-Time options available
- A high work ethic and positive attitude team member
- Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work
- Weekend availability, 36 hours a week, 12 hour shifts
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely
- Interpret medical records and record client history accurately
- Knowledge in preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
- Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner
- Proficient in sample collection to include blood samples, urine, fecal, and skin
- Ability to properly set-up and process laboratory samples and tests
- Proficient in positioning and capturing radiographs
- A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one’s knowledge and skillset
- Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency

***PAY RANGE:* **$20 - $25/hr. Based on Experience | *+Night Shift Premium*
