## Job Description

- Patient Care
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Escort patients from the waiting area to the examination room.
- Verify patient identity using approved identifiers.
- Obtain and document, chief complaint, allergies, medications, and updates to medical, surgical, family, and social history.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Accurately document all components of the patient visit in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Document all orders, prescriptions, referrals, laboratory requests, and follow-up recommendations.
- Complete visit documentation promptly and accurately.

## Qualifications

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

**Job Type:**

- Full-time: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Pay range starting at $20/hr

**Experience:**

- Minimum of **1 year of experience** in a healthcare, medical office, or direct patient care setting **or** completion of a Medical Assistant training program is preferred
- Experience in dermatology is a plus!
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Experience assisting with in-office procedures, specimen collection, and patient education.
- We welcome candidates with transferable experience
