**How you’ll contribute **

A **Medical Technologist **who excels in this role:

- Perform diagnostic testing on patient samples to assist physicians in diagnosing and monitoring disease states.
- Follow standardized procedures and prepare patient samples for testing.
- Collect and analyze bodily fluids and substances for abnormalities, including blood samples for transfusions.
- Operate laboratory equipment safely and effectively.
- Analyze test results for accuracy, acceptability, and critical limits; report and document findings according to organizational standards.
- Perform automated testing using computerized instruments and equipment.
- Conduct quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability of equipment and results.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuing education.

**What we’re looking for ** Applicants should have an associate’s degree in science. Additional requirements include:

- Bachelor’s degree in science preferred
- Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
