**Patient Care Tech - ER**

**Full Time, Third Shift**

Provides general nursing care assistance to patients, with consideration for the unique needs of pediatric and geriatric populations as appropriate. Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment. Patient Care Technicians perform duties under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, and in addition performs general stocking duties as needed to support unit operations.

**Job Duties:**

- Patient hygiene, routine vital signs, routine care.
- Documentation of patient care in EMR based on scope of practice.
- Phlebotomy and various other lab collections.
- Placement of appropriate monitoring equipment.
- Performs 12 Lead ECG.
- Coordinates transport of patients as needed.

**Requirements:**

- High School Diploma/GED
- Must obtain Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire

**Preferred Requirements:**

- Successful completion of an Approved Aide Training Program is preferred
- Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing is preferred
- One year of previous experience in a healthcare setting providing patient care preferred
