**Patient Care Tech - Outpatient Surgery**

**Part Time, First Shift - 1 day/week 10-hour shift**

Facilitates patient care by performing specific task and support functions as delegated by the Registered Nurse or designee. Collaborates with all team members to provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and associates.

**Job Duties:**

- Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times to and from diagnostic and treatment areas.
- Performs phlebotomy/clinical laboratory, respiratory duties, cardiology duties, and vital signs as listed on skills checklist.
- Performing clerical, receptionist, and supply duties for the nursing unit complementing nursing care: computer system admissions, transfers, and dismissals.
- Perform complete and detailed medication histories during the check-in process.
- Maintain stock and removed expired patient supplies within the department and specialty carts.

**Requirements:**

- High School Diploma/GED

**Preferred Requirements:**

- Recent PCT experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing
- EKG experience
