The Patient Care Technician **(Day Shift) **is responsible for assisting physicians and nursing staff in ensuring that each patient’s basic needs are met. This role provides hands‑on care and clinical support in a fast‑paced Neuro Acute Care environment, helping maintain patient comfort, safety, and quality of care during overnight hours. Principal Accountabilities

- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, feeding, and dressing
- Obtain and accurately record vital signs, weights, and heights
- Support patient mobility, including ambulation, transfers, discharges, and range‑of‑motion activities
- Perform post‑mortem care in accordance with hospital protocols
- Conduct clinical tasks such as EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring
- Observe patients and report changes in condition to the Registered Nurse
- Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory
- Perform other related duties as assigned

## Qualifications

Qualifications

Required:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred:

- Strong verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
- A patient, compassionate, and empathetic approach to care
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside physicians and nurses
- Proficiency with computer‑based data management systems and clinical information systems
