**More about our team: North** Kansas City Hospital is** **48-bed Acute Rehab Unit (ARU) located in NKC Health Main Hospital Building. Our Unit is a very fast-paced yet fun environment with endless opportunities to learn and grow! We have an amazing team with over 25 FT therapists!

**What you will do in this role:**

- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Essential Functions Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapists using appropriate modalities.
- Seeks consultation as necessary.
- Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
- Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
- Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
- Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
- Assists with patient discharge planning.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
- Non-Essential Functions

**Qualifications:**

· Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

· Current and unrestricted Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state where services are rendered

- Associate’s degree Required; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required

· Current CPR certification

· Strong organizational and communication skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) obtain within 30 days of hire Required Skills
