The **Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)** at **Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center – McNair Campus** in Houston is a newly relaunched 30-bed inpatient rehab center designed to support patients recovering from serious conditions like stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

**How you’ll contribute:**

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring function and improving mobility.

Essential Functions

- Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
- Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
- Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Information

- Team-oriented and patient-focused with strong communication skills.

**Qualifications and requirements:**

- Education: Associate’s degree from a PTA program.
- Experience: Rehab or acute care experience preferred.
- License: Current PTA license in state of practice.
- Certifications: CPR certification required.
