Our rehabilitation teams provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

**How you'll contribute**

A** Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Educator **who excels in this role:

- Adheres to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and/or standards from other accrediting bodies.
- Coordinating the general orientation, clinical orientation, evaluating the effectiveness of educational programs.
- Conducts a learning needs assessment of the organization *(annually and periodically) and staff by department as required by accrediting agencies Implements training and educational offerings in coordination and collaboration with leadership to meet the learning needs.
- Validates individual completion of required training assigned annually and periodically.
- Reports the training programs, numbers trained to appropriate committee structures up to and including the Board through the Director. Evaluates quality of patient care according to professional standards Maintains a current list of the certifications required by job description for individuals by department
- Assists with the implementation and enforcement of the Joint Commission, Medicare, Conditions of Participation and other applicable regulations and standards.
- Acts as a resource for patient and/or family health education. The Educator is the administrator of the HealthStream Life talent, Job descriptions, and competency software
- Performs other duties as assigned

**Supervisory Responsibilities**

- The educator has the authority and responsibility of supervision all orientation programs and has indirect supervisory responsibility for new employees when involved in educational programs or processes.

**What we're looking for**

Applicants should have a current Pennsylvania or compact state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
- Experience: Six months of Medical/Surgical experience preferred.
- Licenses: Must have a current Pennsylvania or compact state RN license.
- Education: Associate's degree required. BSN preferred.
- Registered Nurse licensed to work in the state of Pennsylvania
