**How you’ll contribute **

- Reports to: Respiratory Market Director
- Assists respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care.
- Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist.
- Responds to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
- Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
- Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources.
- Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders.
- Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.
- Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment, and performs preventative maintenance and calibration of machines.

**Qualifications and requirements:**

- Licenses: Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Certifications: (BLS) Basic Life Support required one month from hire/transfer date; (ACLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support six months from hire/transfer date; (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support six months from hire/transfer date
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA).
- Skilled in the application of policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.
