We are currently looking to hire **Veterinary Technician **to join our team at **PetDocks Veterinary Hospital** in Morehead City, North Carolina.

- **Salary: ** $17.00 – 20.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- **Schedule:** Four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday. Hospital is closed on the weekends, but some boarding/kennel shifts are required.

If you are that** veterinary technician** who is looking for an exciting, no day ever the same, fast-paced, fun, energetic veterinary hospital then we look forward to hearing from you!

- NC state **RVT license strongly preferred**, but not required
- **1 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary assistant or technician required**
- Understands the importance of excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Familiarity with Cornerstone or ProVet preferred
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of a variety of species
- Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
- Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
- Basic understanding of common medications, vaccinations, and preventatives
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per doctor orders
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Ensure a clean, safe and organized work environment
