We are currently seeking a **Veterinary Technician!** If you enjoy working with animals and are committed to providing excellent customer service, come join our team! Our practice is a small animal hospital offering general medicine as well as emergency services. We are seeking a candidate who can multitask, has the desire to learn, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred candidates will be organized and enthusiastic.

**Who We're Looking For:**

We are looking to hire an experienced **Veterinary Technician** to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves animals and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper animal handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:

- **Licensed Veterinary Technician (*****preferred*****)**
- 1+ years of veterinary experience
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
- Passion for working with animals and their owners
- Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
- Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
- Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
- TPR
- Assisting doctor and other technical staff with restraint
- Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, and jugular)
- Placing IV catheters
- Digital radiology including positioning.
- Dentistry (scaling, polishing, anesthetic monitoring)
- Anesthesia (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
- Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; Idexx laboratory equipment
- Excellent client communication/education
- Cross-trained with reception & kenneling experience
