Responsibilities
- Ensures and oversees proper staffing levels for the areas of assigned supervision and makes adjustments as required for absenteeism, vacation and workload variables.
- Supervises the technical staff and provides input, when asked, for annual performance evaluations of assigned staff. Recommends promotions, disciplinary measures and other administrative actions.
- Troubleshoots and resolves errors in Radiology reports an patient exam orders, correcting orders when necessary.
- Ensures the quality of the radiographs presented to the Radiologists meet the standards set forth by the Radiology Department. * Coordinates the repair of malfunctioning equipment and maintenance within the department.
- Will provide leadership in the area of Patient and Physican Satisfaction.
- With the approval of the Operations Manager and Chief Tech, will provide input on new employee selection and will assist in interviews when dealing with hires in their area of supervision.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE: •2 years experience as a Radiologic Technologist LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS: •ARRT-R (ARRT-RADIOGRAPHY) •BLS (Basic Life Support) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association OR CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) Issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days of hire Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE: •2 years of supervisory experience
