Job Description:

Night shift Charge Nurse/ 12-hour shifts

FT 36 hours weekly

6PM-6AM.  

A professional registered nurse who works in a cooperative and consultative relationship with the Director of Surgical Services and surgery nurse manager and assumes the primary responsibilities for the organization of the daily operation of the OR schedule (and staff assignments).

Job Description

  • Responsible and accountable for providing leadership, communication, decisions-making, planning, coordination, and evaluation of daily operation of OR schedule.

  • May be required to assist surgery personnel in performing post-case cleaning duties.

  • Demonstrates computer literacy and competency in use of existing technology.

  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current licensure by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required. BSN preferred.

  • Three to Five years of job-related clinical experience required.
