Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - Operating Room (OR) Job Type: Full-time | Variable 8 or 10-hour shifts and on call and weekends/holidays rotation

Up to $10,000 bonus for eligible candidates

Our Operating Room offers a dynamic and collaborative environment where registered nurses work closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver exceptional patient care. With a one-to-one patient care model and exposure to a wide variety of specialties, including robotics, cardiovascular, orthopedics, plastics, OB-GYN, neurosurgery, urology, and trauma, nurses gain valuable experience while developing expertise across multiple service lines.

Our flexible scheduling process is designed to support work-life balance, allowing team members to request up to three preferred shifts during each four-week scheduling period to help accommodate appointments, personal commitments, and time off. Following orientation, nurses are typically assigned more frequently to their preferred specialty area while maintaining competency across all surgical services.

How you’ll contribute 

A Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) who excels in this role:

  • Works closely with all emergency services staff

  • Establishes positive relationships with patients/families and visitors

  • Performs aseptic surgical techniques while functioning as a surgical assistant for trauma alerts/procedures

  • Responsible for the proper collection of most specimens used in laboratory analysis within the scope of their knowledge and experience (Phlebotomy, POC testing)

  • Performs point of care testing, and follows appropriate quality control procedures

  • Assists with the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as appropriate, including the transporting of patients throughout the facility

What we’re looking for  Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of a surgical technologist program. Additional requirements include:

  • National Certification or if was employed to practice surgical technology as the primary function in another health care facility during the 2 years immediately preceding December 28, 2020, thirty (30) hours of continuing education every 2 years. 
  • CPR
  • One year of experience preferred
