Medical Office Associate I-Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center Cardiology-Per Diem

Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.  Candidate will accurately schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures for the Cath Lab, EP Lab, Structural Heart, and Cardiac Rescue and Recovery, verifying demographics and insurance.  Candidate must successfully pass all required training, Cupid and Front Desk Fundamentals.  

The General responsibilities of the Cath Lab MOA 1 includes:

• Scheduling Cath, PCI, Peripheral, Structural Heart (PFO, ASD, LAAO, PVL, Mitral and Tricuspid TEER), EP cases (Ablations, LAAO (Watchman, Amulet), Pacemaker, ICD Generator Change, ICD Implants, Loop, Optimizer), TEE and Cardioversion.
• Manage high-volume phone calls
• Manage the flow of five-procedure rooms and the recovery holding area
• Coordinate with Bed Management to assign overnight inpatient beds
• Document patient workflow sheet
• Work with the Charge RN to facilitate procedure room flow

Qualifications

HS Graduate/GED Required. Some college experience preferred.  Previous EPIC experience preferred, Basic computer knowledge (CUPID, McKesson Cardiology, Microsoft Word, Excel, Applications, PowerPoint).

Minimum 1-2 years previous office experience working in a medical practice, customer service field, or administrative office setting preferred.  Must have strong telephone etiquette.
