Veterinary Assistant. On-site, New York

AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is hiring a Veterinary Assistant in New York. The job is full-time at a clinic. Pay runs from $19 to $23 per hour. The schedule is Closed Sundays and Most Major Holidays, must be available to work at least 2 Saturdays a month, start work at 7:55AM.

What you'll do

• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments
• Prepare patients for surgery and procedures
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples
• Restrain animals during examinations
• Document patient condition and vital signs

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum 6-month veterinary or shelter experience
• Lift up to 40 pounds
