The technician exam is retired
ASATT still accepts the technician credential from the people who hold it, renewing on 20 continuing education credits every 2 years, and new candidates sit the technologist exam instead. 3 routes lead to that one: a CAAHEP-accredited program, an advancement route for certified technicians, and a practical experience pathway for people already doing the work. Renewal is 30 credits every 2 years, and a current ACLS card has to be among them.
