- Where do EKG technician postings land on this site?
On 2 role pages, because the title decides which. A posting titled EKG technician or ECG technician is classified as cardiovascular technician, and one titled monitor technician or telemetry technician as monitor technician. This credential list is the cut across both, for the postings that name the certification itself.
- Does any state license EKG technicians?
Not as a license of its own, in the states we have checked. The work sits inside what a supervising clinician delegates and what the employer trains, which is why the national certification carries so much of the weight in hiring. Where an EKG tech also draws blood, the phlebotomy side does have state rules in a few states.
- Is the certification the same across issuers?
