Job description

Responsible for monitoring the AHS's compliance in accordance with current applicable Federal, State and local dietary standards, guidelines, and regulations. Ensures that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times.  Principal Accountabilities: 1. Provides clinical nutrition assessment, education and documentation for home care patients and their caregivers, in their homes. 2. Maintains quality assurance and evaluates compliance with corporate policies and procedures and State and Federal guidelines. 3. Assists in planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the Dietary Department, its programs and activities. 7. Develops and participates in educational sessions for staff to increase knowledge of staff and improve care. 8. Reviews appropriate web sites, publications and other educational materials to ensure that the standards of practice are being achieved. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required: 1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science or related field. 2. Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietetic Technician or Registered Dietician or Dietary Manager Association or as applicable. Preferred: 1. 2. 2-3 year's experience in acute care clinical nutrition or relevant area.
