Job description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist of the Nuclear Medicine and/or Molecular Imaging & Therapy departments are a state and nationally registered professionals who possess the required skills and judgment necessary to obtain quality nuclear medicine studies.
This position is Per Diem status.
Responsibilities
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I will work under the supervision of the Technical Supervisor and the Nuclear Medicine Radiologist to perform routine nuclear medicine procedures.
This includes educating the patient and/or family about the procedure, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patient for accurate and clear images, and providing post-procedure instructions.
The technologist accurately documents all patient information in the appropriate systems.
All Nuclear Medicine Technologist positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital-adjacent imaging center locations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Associates Degree or higher. Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program required
- Must have a minimum of 1 year continuous experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
License Required
State of California Certified Technologist Nuclear Medicine (CTNM) license
Certifications Required
- AHA BLS Certification is required.
- Advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT-N or NMTCB-CNMT
Certifications Preferred
Advanced certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography
