CVS Health is hiring a Physician in Louisiana. The job is full-time and remote. Pay runs from $174k to $375k per year. The job is in Medical Management team. The schedule is rotating on-call schedule that includes weekend and holiday coverage.

What you'll do

• Perform utilization management and medical necessity reviews
• Conduct prior authorization and precertification determinations
• Complete concurrent review for inpatient and outpatient services
• Perform peer-to-peer consultations with treating providers
• Handle pharmacy reviews and first-level appeal determinations

Requirements

• Direct patient care experience
• Board certification in Family or Emergency Medicine (preferred)
• Prior utilization management experience (preferred)
• Medicaid and managed care experience (preferred)
