Schedule: Full-Time | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday | 7:30a - 5:30p |

How you’ll contribute 

senior mammography technician who excels in this role:

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders. 

  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. 

  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. 

  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate. 

  • May assist physician with performing interventional procedures including fine needle aspiration and needle localization. 

  • Prepares equipment and supplies. 

  • Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.

  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. 

  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. 

  • Participates in ensuring compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) regulations and applicable accreditations.

  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s), biopsies, stereotactic and special procedures. 

  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. 

  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. 

  • Enters, transmits, and reports scan results.

  • Keeps current with BiRad and follow-ups on all patients.

  • Maintains ACR & MQSA accreditations, participates in the surveys, completes the renewal packets and image submissions. 

  • Will assure daily work schedule for staff is adequately covered for patient volumes.

What we’re looking for  Applicants should have a current radiation operators licensure required. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: Graduate of a Program in Discipline - Required 

  • Licenses: State Radiation Operator License: ARRT Board Registered in Mammography - Required; Bachelor’s degree - Preferred; ARRT (advanced boards in Mammography) 

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
