How you’ll contribute 

A Telemetry Technician who excels in this role:

  • Perform continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
  • Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
  •  Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
  • Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Tests equipment for proper working order.
  •  Reports on equipment problems to supervisor.

What we’re looking for  To be successful in this role, candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and phlebotomy training. Additional requirements include:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent Required; Associate’s degree Preferred
  • Licenses: EMT, EMT-P, CNA, SRNA, or CMA Preferred or completion of first semester clinical rotation in an accredited Nursing Degree Program (ADN or BSN).
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Required; Completion of Cardiac Telemetry Certification within 1 year of hire;Evidence of successful completion of Telemetry/Dysrhythmia course
