Saint Mary's Regional Health System - 1808 W Main St, Russellville, AR 72801 Surgical Technician  Job Type: Full Time  Schedule: Weekdays only, no weekends or holidays unless on call.  Call varies. Must live within 30 minutes of hospital.

How you'll contribute: •    Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.  •    Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.  •    Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.  •    Passes instruments to physician during surgery.  •    Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.  •    Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.  •    Performs on call services as requested. •    Actively participates and ensures room turnovers are efficient and timely.  •    Assesses surgical schedule in coordination with RN's and management to ensure patient needs are met and all necessary equipment/ supplies are available.  •    Assist with orientation and training of personnel and students.  •    Participates and attends meetings as required and/ or assigned. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

What we're looking for: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Certified Surgical Technology Program preferred

Minimum Work Experience:  External candidate - 2 years as a Surgical Technician and service line sign off within 1 year  Internal candidate - 1 year as a Surgical technician and service line sign off  Certifications: None required; BCLS preferred.
